"I Can Send Mail but not Receive Any."
- This means: one of a few things. If you get an error message involving the word
"password," chances are that your mail settings may be incorrect, or perhaps
you're typing in your password incorrectly.
- If the server times out when you try to check your mail, someone may have sent you a
large attachment that's clogging your mail spool and preventing downloads. You might want
to check your mail settings just in case, though.
- If you're expecting mail from someone who says they sent it, double-check to make sure
they sent it to the right email address. Email addresses are case-sensitive; they should
always be lowercase. Your.Real.Name@BauerCom.Net won't make it to you. Mail has to
be addressed to the address you chose when you signed up, in the following format: username@BauerCom.Net
- Click on the "Send and Receive" button--or the "Check Mail" or
"Get Msg" button--to make sure there's nothing lurking on the mail server for
you.
